Consider Spouse the most painfully and unjustly underrated band that you’ve never heard. I’ve been listening for years upon years, and still can’t find a single critical thing to say. In fact, a few of their tracks (“Are You Gonna Kiss Or Wave Goodbye?”, “Sad Not Trashed”, and “London”) would be near the top of my top 25 favorite songs list – if anyone ever forced me to undertake such a painstaking task. Highly recommended that you put your media literacy skills to work and dive deeper into the band’s catalogue. Members seem to rotate frequently – but the one constant is frontman Jose Ayerve.
