Operahouse

“I was looking out my window and I was blinded by a light from the sky.”
There’s no time for an elucidation concerning my love for London quartet Operahouse. Good songs and bright futures are about all you need to know. The band has a short run starting the day before Halloween and will hit the four corners of England before November ends. Their four song, one of which you’ll find below, Changes in Nature EP is due out soon. The title-track single , however, is now available for download via the most major of major online retailers – iTunes.

the kids are alright

the Culture Bully crew has decided to devote the next 35 million years (closer to 60 hours, actually) of their lives to non-stop blogging. If you’re in the Twin Cities metro area and want to be the first to hear brand new music from the likes of Jeremy Messersmith or Roma di Luna, then your best bet is to creep around Culture Bully corners and wait patiently. The fundraiser supports “music development and literacy within local Twin Cities schools”. You simply can’t aruge with that.

How I do it is often beyond me. This is one of those times; I’m finding that I have too much to do and not enough time in which to do it. So, the Uglysuit must take it upon themselves to win you over hearts and minds. I’m hooked, so it can’t be too daunting of a task. The Oklahoma City indie-folksters released their self-titled debut recently and have been relatively well received.
