Spouse, “Confidence”

“Let’s not forget what got you there in the first place.”

Consider Spouse the most painfully and unjustly underrated band that you’ve never heard. I’ve been listening for years upon years, and still can’t find a single critical thing to say.  In fact, a few of their tracks (“Are You Gonna Kiss Or Wave Goodbye?”, “Sad Not Trashed”, and “London”) would be near the top of my top 25 favorite songs list – if anyone ever forced me to undertake such a painstaking task.  Highly recommended that you put your media literacy skills to work and dive deeper into the band’s catalogue.  Members seem to rotate frequently – but the one constant is frontman Jose Ayerve. The new disc, which is entitled Confidence, follows the four or five remarkable records that came before it.  Two tracks are available to preview, and a purchase link sits below.
