If there’s one genre descriptor I just can’t get down with – it’s anything with an “electro” prefix. I’ve nearly shut myself out of an entire genre, and it’s a shame. Every once in awhile something remarkable comes along and restores my faith, or at least my interest, in the genre. Boston’s Magic Man takes the cake this time around. They are giving their entire full-length, Real Life Magic, away for free via Bandcamp, and it’s one track greater than the next. Apparently I’ve jumped on the Sam and Alex train months too late, but I’m happy to pass along the info to those who were just as shortsighted as myself…
