There is not one cultured musical soul too cool or sophisticated for a barefaced pop punk record – especially one as thoughtful, well-written, and cerebral as this one. I’ve been waiting for Reading’s Francesqa to release their debut EP We Lived since hearing a 4-track demo sometime over a year ago. The disc’s title track is the clear standout, and is available below to preview. Purchase of the EP in its entirety is highly rec’d if you count yourself among those still who still appreciate, no matter how old you are, the fierce and emotive intensity of a good pop/rock record. The band is fresh off of a big show at the this year’s Slam Dunk festival, but look for dates more UK dates this summer and into the fall.
