Hotel of the Laughing Tree

“Play that same old song I’m hearing outside on the radio.”

What I should be doing is talking about the very soon to be released Terror and Everything After EP from Long Island’s Hotel and the Laughing Tree. However, because an official release date has yet to be set for this month or the next and I’m still too busy listening to their debut from 2009, Old Dominion, the old overrides the new.  The band is an interesting and refreshing mix of technical songwriting with both punk and folk tendencies and, quite frankly, should be spreading their musical seed farther and wider than it is currently reaching.  Color me impressed…
