Andrew Davie, new tracks

“I already know these hands will never be clean.”

Save for Ryan Adams and Paul Westerberg (classic, really), London’s Andrew Davie is far and above my favorite songwriter.  His work with the band Cherbourg, who remain my favorite band to this day despite the fact that they split earlier this year, is nearly flawless.  I’ve waxed poetic about Cherbourg a couple of times on the site – here and here – and I couldn’t give any higher recommendation that you get your hands on a copy of the band’s two EPs.  Since the parting of ways, Andrew has been writing and performing under his own name.  Besides the tracks up on his Myspace page, he just released two via Soundcloud.

“Stronger”

“Old Flame”
