Hot Club de Paris; New EP

“Blue eyes grow ageless.”

The trio from Liverpool have long been one of my favorite bands, and each of every new release is greeted with the same enthusiasm and excitement as the one before.  Moshi Moshi knows exactly what they’re doing.  Hot Club de Paris proudly presents this week’s release of their new EP – The  Rise and Inevitable Fall of the High School Cluster Band. I first wrote about the band back in 2006 before their debut full-length was released, and followed with a post regarding their sophomore effort Live at Dead Lake. Both come highly recommended.  They even managed to sneak in the 5 tracker entitled With Days Like This As Cheap As Chewing Gum, Why Would Anyone Want To Work, which wasn’t brought to my attention until yesterday.  As the album titles suggest, Hot Club plays an eccentric brand of angular indie rock.  The track below is from the new EP, and the band it touring all over the UK during the entire month of June.
