“You don’t have to have opinions on everything.”
One of my favorite bands, local or otherwise, will be playing a benefit show in the First Avenue main room tomorrow night here in Minneapolis (Friday, February 12). Halloween, Alaska will play to help local sound engineer Matt Lindquist, who was recently holed up in the hospital with a bad case of H1N1. Anyone without health insurance knows the bills can mount all too quickly, even for the most routine of clinic visits. The show costs $12 at the door and is hosted by local hip-hop star Brother Ali. There are quite a few other bands on the bill – such as Story of the Sea and the Idle Hands. HA released their critically lauded second effort, Champagne Downtown, last year. Posted below is one of my favorite tracks from the 10-song disc.
