“I can see the way out…”
…and I’m finally just getting around to it. Toronto’s Uncut, along with their most recent album Modern Currencies, was another one of the bands waiting for me in my review pile when I returned from London nearly three months back. While I admit that many still haven’t been (and probably never will be, I’m a lost cause) listened to, I do recall taking a premature liking to the band after realising they’re under the Paper Bag Records umbrella. It’s a good place to be. My notions were sound, because Modern Currencies is indie-rock gold. Though the album has been out for months in Canada, it’s getting ready to drop stateside in under a couple of weeks.
